Has the raccoon story made it to Little Rock TV? For those of you outside the state, which is by far the largest segment of readership to this blog, Little Rock is in the center of the state, the State Capitol, and some would believe the center of media. Northwest Arkansas is a completely different critter. For example, if you live in Fort Smith, you will probably be inclined to go to Tulsa to shop or be amused, rather than Little Rock. Part of this is the attitude toward NW Ar, by the Little Rock media and state government. Northwest AR has plenty of local media and the torrential signal from Little Rock doesn't reach there. All this to give you a local TV station's coverage of the raccoon story and to dispel the image of hicks in this part of the state.
